Work Meeting regarding the participation of Greece in the ECRIN-ERIC Research Infrastructure

ECRIN is the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network. Today, 9 European countries are participating as partners in ECRIN-ERIC, both EU Member States and other countries (Switzerland, Norway).

The main objective of ECRIN-ERIC is to promote clinical research in Europe in order to overcome current obstacles through the harmonization and interconnection of clinical centers and research organizations.

On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the premises of the National Center for Research and Technological Development, a Working Meeting will be held with the General Director of ECRIN, Prof. Jacques Demotes, on the participation of Greece in the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN-ERIC) with the Institute of Applied Biosciences of the Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (INAB-CERTH) is the representative body.

Greece's participation in the ECRIN-ERIC infrastructure will allow the country to capitalize on its highly trained human resources and to excel in the field of clinical research and innovation, offering new scientific possibilities to Greek patients but also new perspectives for companies in the field (pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, IT companies, etc.).

INAB, having a long and efficient, internationally recognized experience in biomedical research, strongly supports the need to link research with clinical practice and harmonization of procedures at European and national level, ensuring the active participation of Greece in the ECRIN-ERIC infrastructure.
